Miracast problem - Icon doesn't show on screen

I have a Cisco Codec Plus and need help with Miracast. Miracast is enabled in Webex Control Hub, but it doesn’t show up on the screen I want to cast to. Typically, "Miracast" and "Airplay" appear in the top right corner, but now only "Airplay" is visible, not "Miracast." I need to understand why Miracast isn’t showing on the screen even though it’s activated.

Any ideas?

I'd start by making sure that the software on the device is up to date.  If everything is current and the problem persists, you could try factory resetting the device then setting it up again from scratch.

I have solved the problem, and it turned out to be an NR codec, which explained why Miracast didn't appear as an icon on the screen or could be found using Windows+K.

We have a customer for whom miracast is broken on every device as of the Nov '24 update.  Rolling back to Oct '24 software fixes the problem.  If you roll back to Oct and it starts work then open a TAC case regarding the Nov update.

Thank you for the tip! Unfortunately, it didn’t work as expected. The icon indicating that Miracast is activated still doesn’t appear, even though I followed your instructions, and it doesn’t show up in the list when I press "Windows + K. I did also try to reinstall the system without any luck... Hardware problem?

I would disable the mode, reboot, enable and then reboot again.
