Looking for information. Is it possible to connect and control devices from codec. Need to send on/off and channel strings to tuners and tvs. I'm assuming macros make it possible but I am struggling to find anything on this. In the past I have used control systems (AMX,Crestron, Extron) to listen and react but why add hardware if I don't need to.
Thanks

Thanks @Janos Benyovszki
It appears outbound serial was just released in 11.14.2 so I'm thinking not yet for IP control.
So, next question. How many serial dongles can I hang off a codec for outbound serial control? I have 3 cable tuners and 3 displays in a room that I am looking to control. I can probably get by with 3 serial connections but the docs on [xConfiguration SerialPort Outbound Port[1] BaudRate](https://roomos.cisco.com/xapi/Configuration.SerialPort.Outbound.Port[1].BaudRate/) make it look like I can only have 1.

@CajunSpy can you please check the docs here, it sounds like this is what you need https://roomos.cisco.com/doc/UseCases/RoomControls .
