Is there an API to edit my status message and set a time of visibility

I am looking for an api to edit my status message so that I can set it based on my calendar schedule etc. Can you please let me know if there is one? I couldn't find from the documentation yet.

Currently, there is no public API available for this.

AFAIK, there is some work ongoing and some 3rd party products are already using a private API, but I do not know when/if it will be GA'd.
