Linking to embedded apps from within a space

Hi everyone,

I dug into the community WebEx API and Embedded App SDK and couldn't find anything that answered my question, so I'm coming to y'all. When a tab is first added to a space there is a link to the tab with an "Open" button. Is there anyway to repost this message later on to drive people back to an embedded app tab?

Thanks!

Hi Sandip,

That's for getting back to me. I can add a couple screenshots that might help clairfy.

When I add a new embedded app like below:

Screenshot 2025-07-03 at 7.27.19 AM.png

I get the following message in the Space:

I'm trying to figure out if there is anyway to recall this message or recreate it at a later time to increase usage of the new embedded app.

Thanks!

Hi @JDZondo,
Thanks for your patience so far!
So, I wanted to understand the query you've here by asking some follow-up questions.
When you say "When a tab is first added to a space..." - when you say "tab", do you mean the Embedded App with a button kind of interface in Webex client where the Embedded App has been added?
And then when you say "... there is a link to the tab with an "Open" button." - do you refer to "Expand" button in this case where the Embedded App gets opened to a separate Webex window?
"Is there anyway to repost this message later on to drive people back to an embedded app tab?" - Which message repost you're referring to?

And if you think I'm not actually in sync with what you tried to refer here, then is it possible to share some screenshots may be highlighting what you're trying to clarify here. That'd be helpful to assist further actually.

Regards!
Sandip
