Hello. Hope everyone is keeping safe and healthy.
Each message on WebEx has a context menu with some actions. In Teams, actions that a user can perform on a message are known as message extensions. Developers have the ability to add more message extension in Teams. Is there such capability in WebEx that would allow a developer to create custom actions on a message? Looking for a favorable response. Regards.

Thanks for moving the inquiry here. I would like to make an action available in the menu that has other actions like edit, reply, quote, flag, unread, delete, etc. The action will have access to the message identifier and any children (replies). For instance, what you did here with my inquiry that I had posted on WebEx space. You had to copy my message from WebEx, come to this community space, log in, create and post the same text. Now if you had a message extension available (post to Community), it would have been done on a click of a button.
Here is the similar reference for MS Teams.

Webex does not support adding custom conext menu hooks into the UI, currently. You can submit an enhancement idea here to suggest the feature: https://ciscocollabcustomer.ideas.aha.io/ideas

The /messages API does provide some of these functionalities but not all. You can start a thread by using the parentId field, you can quote messages too and format them as well, see here: https://developer.webex.com/docs/basics#formatting-messages. You can't however 'Like' or 'heart' and anything like that however. Also, it's not possible to pin messages or flag them either.
It is possible to delete messages with the API though.
I think I covered everything but let us know in case of any queries.
