Retrieve a user's text status from the Get My Own Details API

As a developer, I would like to be able to retrieve the text status from the Get My Own Details API so that I can display that status in a third-party app.

The API does return a status field, but that is actually a user's availability. Well, kind of... It is more accurate to say it is most of a user's availability except for busy and quiet times. It is all rather confusing, actually.
