How to remove a password to access a recorded meeting

Dear Community

 

I need your support. One client wants me to remove the password to a recorded event I managed to facilitate the view. It is possible to allow watching this recorded event witout the password ? Thanks for your help

Natacha- yes certainly. Quoted below is a similar question with a helpfully detailed reply. (Could not figure out how to post the link.)

 

@rmneil383 , depending on the admin settings of your Webex site it is possible to remove the password protection of your recordings.
Log into your Webex site and click on Recordings on the left to display all your recordings. On the right of the recording  click on the icon with the three dots and  select "Edit":

When you edit the recording you can uncheck "Password protection":”

 

I recommend that you provide guidance to your client to review each video for pii or sensitive contributions before removing a password. Also consider if the your user community has an expectation that recorded meetings will be available without password protection. Breaking that type of compact can have a chilling effect on meeting participation and even people willing to turn their cameras on if the meeting is recorded.
