I fixed this by enabling UAC one step from being turned off. It worked. Never Notify grants admin rights to everything.

Download the .msi installer from here: https://help.webex.com/en-us/article/nw5p67g/Webex-App-%7C-Installation-and-automatic-upgrade#Cisco_Reference.dita_7f297b3d-e764-4f24-af5b-4cd41da90668

Hi I think i solved this one, It's the opposite of what you would think. The problem is you have Admin access!
If you use a user that only has local access it will install (only for that user)
If you use an account with admin access you get this error.
Solution
- demote the user to have normal access
- Complete the install
- Promote the user back to normal
There may be a combination of UAC settings that would stop this being an issue but i don't have time to test them.
There is possibly also a CMD way to run it.

In our case we had UAC configured to "Never Notify". Putting it back to Default resolved the issue (no need to demote user from admin to standard).

Hi @liam.j.quartly ,
Don't know the root cause of this issue but I resolved it by logging into PC using different user account.
Thanks, Vaijanath S.

Which operating system are you using?
How do you start the installation?

0 people in my admin circles know how to clear this error.
I have admin rights, they have admin rights, and the.msi won't load nor the .exe
Win10 Enterprise v1909 os build 18363.1440 64 bit
