Change in Share Content Behavior

We have found an issue with setting Share permissions in the latest Webex version (41.5.4.6).  When "Anyone Can Share" is disabled in a meeting, turning on Share permissions under "Participant Privileges" only gives those attendees permissions to share a whiteboard or file.  Prior to this update, enabling share permissions for individuals gave attendees the ability to share any type of content.

We opened a TAC case for this but have been told this is expected behavior.  We were told that the host or co host can just move the "Presenter Ball" to anyone that needs to be able to share to give someone full share ability.  This new process hinders many of our meetings because we often have several presenters in a meeting and in the past, they were given Share Permissions which smoothed the transition between each speaker.  Now they are constantly asking for the "Presenter Ball" to be passed which interrupts the flow of the meeting.

An additional change we found is that if a meeting is scheduled with "Share Content" disabled, it removes "Anyone Can Share" as a menu option during the meeting.  We had created a template that did not include "Share Content" but since it was still available to the Host in the meeting, they could enable it if needed.  Now that "Anyone Can Share" is not available for meetings scheduled with "Share Content" unchecked, the "Presenter Ball" is the only way to give Share permissions to an attendee.  This requires the Host to constantly move the "Presenter Ball" or the current Presenter to pass it before anyone can share.

We have many staff and students that don't use Webex often and have to be given instructions during meetings on how to manage sharing in the app.  This new change is causing additional confusion, hampering instruction/meeting time and frustrating all attendees.  I'm curious what other users think of this change and if they are having similar issues with this.

Please post your comments for this change and if you find it helpful or a hinderance.

Thank you,

Anyone can share is a nice feature to have regardless if you turn sharing off when setting up the meeting. It was nice to have that option if the need arises.
