What is the Webex app for? I am using Webex v. 42.7.0.22904.
I have figured out how to use this app for setting up a meeting that other people can join. But I have not found any use for this app in joining meetings set up by other people.
When someone emails me a link to a upcoming Webex conference, I click on the link in the email. Doing so brings up my browser. The browser takes me to the Webex website. There I see the Webex meeting entirely within the browser. I have not found any connection between the Webex session in the browser and this Webex app.
I am wondering if I need to keep this Webex app. Is there a way of using the Webex app to join other people’s Webex meetings? Or do I just stay in the browser?
(BTW, the website here requires me to associate this post with "at least one technology area." None of the proffered labels apply to my inquiry, so I have randomly chosen SMS in order to try to get this post posted.)

Richard,
You have your meetings set up to open by default in the browser. You can join meetings in the browser but it doesn't have all the same features as the app. The next time you join a meeting, look near the bottom of the browser screen and select use desktop app instead. You want it to be your default for meetings so that it opens in the app instead of the browser.
The link jrsteele posted will help you with answering questions about all the other features the Webex app has available. It is a very powerful tool that can really help with communication among your staff as well as people from other organizations.
Good luck and post back here if you have any other questions.
