HELP: Cannot connect on Webex Meetings Desktop App (Win7)

Hi!

I am trying to connect to the Cisco Webex Meeting app on my windows 7 desktop but it is giving me the error below.

What do I need to do for this to work?

Note:

I can connect fine on the web app but prefer the options of the desktop app.

Hello Andrea,

Thanks for posting your question in community!

Could you please try enabling TLS 1.2 as shown below:

On internet explorer,

Go to Tools and select Internet Options

  • Select the Advanced tab in Internet Options
  • Enable(check) TLS 1.2 and also disable (uncheck) SSL 3.0 for additional security
  • Click on Apply and OK to complete the procedureTLS 1.2.png

Please give it a try and update.

Hello-

I'm currently having almost the same issue. I have Windows10 and using Dell 7390-2-in-1 laptop and for some reason the Webex Meetings Desktop App stopped working for me. I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling the desktop app but it did not resolve the issue. Although I can connect via web browser with no issues.

Thank you for your time.

Hi, It looks like a reboot might be needed. Have you tried that yet? What version of the desktop app are you running?

I have rebooted, waited a few days...
I have also removed the app and redownloaded it.
Same issue.

As for version - should be the latest version. I just downloaded it from
the webex site.

Could you please try the steps I suggested.

Thanks,

Avi
