We have been testing out the new Webex Suite Platform. A lot of nice new changes, HOWEVER, we have found one showstopper in our enviuronment.
For users with a physical Cisco IP Phone, and call control enabled (they can use things like Click to Call to the phone) -- when they attempt to join Webex meetings, it presents them with a new pop-up asking them to "Start with device". This makes them join the meeting via their IP Phone (the sound comes out of it) and it makes them appear as an audio-only caller. It is super confusing.
In 44.2 the user could still share their screen from their laptop, but they had no video. I have heard in 44.3 you can enable video after this happens. As you can understand, the whole experience is still confusing.
We are trying to escalate this within Cisco. I am shocked there are not more customers with IP phones running into this. Please reply and help to escalate if you have seen this issue.
