No option for blurred or virtual background (WebEx 40.7.6.10 - macOS 10.15.5)

Hello! For some reason, I am the only one in our organization that does not have the option to blur or change to a virtual background.

We are running 40.7.6.10. I'm running macOS 10.15.5. (I have not upgraded to 10.15.6 yet.) I have already uninstalled, cleared library files, and reinstalled. Other Mac users with the same setup have it, but I do not.

Any ideas?

Please confirm what CPU / processor you have. Currently, less than 4 cores is not supported.

I am also having a similar issue on epic integrated webex. I had the option to blur my background using google chrome as browser during telehealth meetings (and wasn't able to on safari) until last week. Last week the button to blur background disappeared from chrome also. I was running mac on Big Sur last week and I updated to Ventura today to see if that would make any changes and no luck. I am running on Apple M1 and was also using that last week also. The issue is also there for my macbook pro that runs on 2.4 GHz Quad-Core Intel Core i5.

I'd be so happy if someone can assist out there!! Thank you!

I previously used virtual background, but after upgrading to 40.9.5.10, that option has disappeared.

I have a MacBook Pro with Quad-Core Intel Core i5, running Catalina 10.15.6. This is a fairly high powered system, so I don't understand why the the virtual background features have disappeared.

Why was this option removed, and when can we expect it back?

Hi @Mike Brezicky Mike - is this going to change in the near future? i am on a 2017 13 inch macbook pro with 3.5 ghz dual core intel i7. the 4 core requirement seems to be pretty heavy.

Hello. Future enhancements and optimizations for dual core processors will be considered. Thanks.

Ah! Okay. Did not see that. Thank you for your response. I am running 2.8 GHz Dual-Core Intel Core i7.
