Proximity with devices registered to other service then Webex

I was wondering if anyone knows about limitations to the proximity future on webex devices registered on other services such as Pexip?

I have used proximity  for Couple of CS kits registered with CUCM. And the proximity works with ultrasound pairing and its not dependent on the Platform it register with.
