Recording player looks totally different

Hello guys

I recently just saw this recording player on our webex: SS_Webex_player1.PNG

This only happened to one specific recording though.

Other recordings on our webex site look always like this:

SS_Webex_player2.PNG

We are usually using the webex education integration (Moodle) to create the meeting.

Is there any specific reason for this? and can we switch the player for the recording?

Many thanks in advance!

Julius

Thats classic mp4 (1st screen) recording vs. video centric mp4 (2nd screen) recording.

https://help.webex.com/en-us/d8o7deb/Video-Centric-Network-Based-MP4-Recordings-in-Webex-Meetings-and-Webex-Events

"If you share a video file using Share File during the meeting or event, the MP4 recording will not be saved in video-centric format."

If someone is using share file during the meeting the recording falls back to classic (1st screen).

Unfortunately this is a one-way street and its not possibel to change back, its really important to make people aware that share file/whiteboarding is screwing up the Video Centric recording.

A more harsh solution would be to disable both features via Sessiontypes

Thank you Robert!

That is what I was looking for !

Is there anyway to convert the classic player to the video centric format after this?

After reading your posting, some questions come to my mind:
- what exactly is the problem? is any of those players causing issues? if not: why worry about it?
- have the recording-settings been the same? (to local computer vs. to cloud-storage)
- playback triggered in same context? (both time Client-software OR both times web-interface?)
- on same computer/device?

Hallo Fritz

Thank you for the feedback!

Some users were using the playback speed option on the players, which missing on the classic video player.

Yes the host was always using the same meetings and same setups for the recording.
