We have a number of spaces in our team of which one of the moderated spaces has the assigned moderator is on leave and we need to add new starters.
As a team level moderator, I am trying to add myself to the space and make myself a moderator. Webex App states that a team level moderator can do so, however clicking the Join button is not actioning the join, nor giving any error.
Welcome some pointers?

I think you should just open a case with the support team.

Another idea would be to use the membership API (https://developer.webex.com/docs/api/v1/memberships) with an admin and compliance officer account to add the user to the space with the moderator flag active

A moderator has the keys and has to add the moderators to begin with so you might be in a pickle. Also, you could try making the space public too as a public space does not use moderators. You can make it private later.

Thanks, no luck yet.
we have 5 moderators of the “team” in which there are a few spaces, this being one of them. This space currently has one of the moderators in the space but she is away. According to the WebEx notes, any team moderator can add themselves (self-join) to a moderated space but that’s not working…
https://blog.webex.com/team-collaboration/moderating-spaces-in-a-team/
Extract: …Normal team members do not have the ability to self-join a moderated space, they must request to be added. Team moderators, however, have the highest level of control inside a team. This means they can self-join any moderated team space as well as promote themselves to be a moderator of that space.
We have even made one of the existing members of the space a “team” moderator but still he can’t find a way to become a “space” moderator. Very weird. Means the space is locked out from adding/removing anyone at this stage.
