Webex Training Meeting and Desktop App

I'm having issues with joining a web ex meeting that says join training using my desktop app.  It forces me to use the browser which takes away all the functionality like raise hands or see the chat.  I can log in the same meeting on the web ex app on my phone no problem and I get the functionality.  What am I doing incorrectly?  Or are you unable to join unless it's the browser.

Hello! You cannot join a Webex Training session from the Meetings desktop application. Webex trainings can only be joined from an e-mail invitation or from your Webex Site and both will take you to a browser based application. However, you should still be able to use all the features of training. I hope this helps!
