Q. After the conversion, do users still browse to the same URL (<site name>.webex.com) to manage their meeting settings or schedule meetings?
A. Yes, the site URL and meeting links will all remain untouched
Q. Bc of some unavailable features, looks like we will wait for CH. Will the conversion just automatically happen at some point in future?
A. Yes, we will be doing an automatic transition in the future.
Q. Can we run the conversion in test mode to see what users are out of sync?
A. There is a pre-check process that list out potential issues and recommended action to fix them
Q. Can you show the client interface for scheduling meetings, training, events, and support?
A. There is no change for end user scheduling, whether that be on the site, in the app or in Outlook (or other mail applications)
Q. Classic services require username. modern services require email addresses with different passwords. how is this migrated after control hub migration?
A. Email is used after site is migrated to Control Hub.
Q. Deadline to convert?
A. No deadline at this time.
Q. For auto creation > will this apply to the site that was migrated once moved to control hub > we do not want users auto created in that site.
A. Currently Auto Account Creation via SSO is not supported for Control Hub managed sites, so prior to migration this will need to be disabled on the site
Q. How do I know if integrations or bots were created against site to be migrated? Would there be a possibility that it could break migrating?
A. This information is not exposed today, but we will take this information back to the development teams.
Q. How will people schedule events, training, support once the legacy interface is retired?
A. Scheduling for all "centers" will remain the same after converting to Control Hub managed
Q. How will the session types change when adding news users in control hub (IE if we have to disable recording/file usage for privacy compliance reasons)?
A. Session types will remain. You will need to set default session types for new users on a specific site and can be edited 1:1 or via CSV after the fact
Q. I have asked for assistance with claiming my domain and was told it was not a requirement to move to CH.
A. As a best practice, it is always recommended to claim your domain in Control Hub. More information can be found in the following article under the Claim tab: https://help.webex.com/en-us/article/cd6d84/Manage-your-domains#Cisco_Task.dita_62139eaf-0eae-4d19-9c79-561e64d6ee9a
Q. I have users who have their own WebEx account, and those users cannot delete their account (lack of email access). I'm working with tech to resolve the issues.
A. When these users are claimed they will be made to put a personal email address on their personal account.
Q. I was told that if the site appeared to be ready for the switch it would automatically happen. How can I control when the switch happens?
A. Right now all site conversions need to be manually triggered. You will need to work through the site conversion wizard in Site Admin and ensure all have been met, then you can trigger site conversion.
Q. If a user is in another org, will we now have the ability to move them?
A. You can claim users into your org by verifying/claiming your domain(s). You will then get a list of users external to your org which you can claim into your org. There is a help.webex.com that discusses claiming users
Q. If I migrate my site to control hub, I don’t want new users being added to this site. I use directory connector. will new users be created against the site?
A. You can manage what services new users are given via the Auto Assign License Template. This will govern what licenses are given to new users provisioned to your org
Q. In CH configured w/ Directory Connector, when a user is deleted from AD and syncs w/ CH, what happens to their scheduled meetings? Can Admins cancel them?
A. If a user is removed from AD, they will be marked inactive in CH for 7 days (soft delete). You can manage their account during this 7 day period after which they will be deleted. This is discussed in the Directory Connector config guide.
Q. My site has many external users, so I'm sure I want to hold off the conversion until external users are supported.
A. You should work to verify/claim your domains and claim your users, not only for site conversion, but for a number of other feature related and security related reasons.
Q. Our school uses an Identity system that is currently using both the Webex Teams and Webex Meetings APIs separately. What will happen to these two APIs?
A. Answered verbally in Live Q&A at the end of presentation.
Q. Same question as a previous person, we have hands on lab, is that going to be in control hub?
A. I am unaware of this feature in the control hub, but we will look into potential options.
Q. So far SSO is a global setting in control hub. Once enabled, all sites managed by control hub can only use SSO login. For this reason, we can't migrate....
A. Answered verbally in Live Q&A at the end of presentation.
Q. Users can create accounts on the company site in form of username. they can also create accounts in the Webex app in form of email address. after migration?
A. User accounts in both Site Admin and Control Hub require an email address. The difference is just in what the user enters when signing into their account. Once migrated to Control Hub, users will need to login with email address
Q. We have users across different email domains, will we be able to add all of them to our Org for management?
A. Yes, as part of the technical readiness process in Control Hub, you can verify and claim domains associated to your organization to ensure you have full control over users with those domains.
Q. What happens with users emails that do not match between CH and SA? They will be created from scratch losing their scheduled meetings?
A. Email mismatches will need to be addressed prior to site conversion. This is part of the site conversion wizard and is discussed in the help.webex.com article.
Q. What is the address of the help site that is being displayed?
A. help.webex.com - The specific article being displayed can be found here: https://help.webex.com/en-us/article/dowv6t/Update-Webex-Meetings-site-management-from-Site-Administration-to-Control-Hub#Cisco_Concept.dita_a5acad86-2fc5-4335-9992-c292f65b362b

A. We do not have an EOL date for Site Admin at this time
Q. Where is the pre-check process that list out potential issue and recommended action to fix them?
A. You can reference the following article for a checklist, including a Known Issues section with potential remedies: https://help.webex.com/en-us/article/dowv6t/Update-Webex-Meetings-site-management-from-Site-Administration-to-Control-Hub#Cisco_Concept.dita_e630cb7e-68fe-4bde-a7fd-b894efd194f6
Q. Why can't we delete users? We can only deactivate.
A. This is a limitation of Site Admin. Once your sites are migrated to be Control Hub managed, you will have full control over users including the ability to fully delete them out of your organization.
Q. Why would I have 4 separate 'Organization ID' numbers in the CSV file?
A. This implies you have users outside of your own org. You will need to verify/claim your domains in your org and then claim any external users into your org
Q. Will migrating to CH affect classic events since that is still managed in Site Administrator?
A. Migrating the site to Control Hub will have no impact on Classic Events
Q. Will we be able to access these slides after the call?
