CUWN in pure L3 environment

Customer is moving from L2 network to a "pure" L3 environment (from Core to Access). Looking for any WP's, Best Practices or any other documentation on Cisco WLAN in an all L3 network. Main concern is of course the WLCs and attaching the WLAN Interfaces to 'subnets" instead of VLANs. Customer is on WLC 4.2 and will convert all AP's to 1250s/.11n. Don't want to upgrade firmware for now.
