Resolution
The Cisco 1030 Access Point (AP) only supports multiple WLANs while connected to the controller, but only one WLAN when the connection to the controller is broken. The 1030 AP does support multiple service set identifiers (SSIDs)/WLANs. However, they all have to exist/reside on the local network. You cannot break them up and assign them to interfaces and dump them into different VLANs. The 1030 AP does not have the capacity to perform any tagging functions in the stand-alone Remote Edge Access Point (REAP) mode.
For more information about REAP, refer to the Background Information section of Remote-Edge AP (REAP) with Lightweight APs and Wireless LAN Controllers (WLCs) Configuration Example.
