The WLSE shows the incorrect time from the CLI rather than the correct time as set on the GUI

Core Issue

The CiscoWorks Wireless LAN Solution Engine (WLSE) uses Universal Coordinated Time (UTC) to display the time and date when connected through Telnet/Secure Shell (SSH) or the console. It also uses UTC when log files are viewed. The WLSE uses the client local time to display the time and date when connected through the web interface. Because of this discrepancy, a time difference occurs.

Resolution

The system date and time can be set and maintained through one of these two methods:

• The recommended method is to set the system clock with the Network Time Protocol (NTP) through the Command Line Interface (CLI). For more information on how to set the clock with NTP, refer to the Setting the System Clock Using NTP via CLI section of Managing the Appliance via CLI.
  
  
• Alternatively, set the system clock manually through the CLI. For more information on how to set the clock manually, refer to the Setting the System Clock via CLI section of Managing the Appliance via CLI.
