Core Issue
The root and non-root bridges cannot associate with each other. The status of the non-root bridge radio is RESET, and the protocol is DOWN.
Resolution
This issue is documented in Cisco bug ID CSCsb08590.
As a workaround, perform these steps:
- Download Cisco IOS 12.3(7)JA or later from Cisco.com as a "recovery image."
- Issue the archive command or use the GUI in order to download the "recovery image" into the BR1410 Flash.
- Issue a command similar to the one listed in order to recover the radio:
bridge#dot11 dot11Radio 0 recovery-fw flash:c1410-k9w7-mx.123-7.JA/6501.img
Note: Issue the dir Command-Line Interface (CLI) command in order to verify the actual filenames.
- Issue the archive command or use the GUI in order to reload the desired code into the bridge.
Note: There is the option to stay on Cisco IOS 12.3(7)JA rather than fall back to version 12.3(4)JA, or to apply version 12.3(4)JA.
