Core Issue

Intel Pro 2200BG client adaptor runs into Blue Screen on Desktop (BSOD) when associated to Access Point (AP) 1200 running firmware version 12.3(8)JA, but only if  the dot11 phone command is issued.

Resolution

To resolve the BSOD issue, perform any one of the following steps as a workaround: 

  1. Downgrade the image to  version 12.3(7)JA3.

  2. Disable the dot11 phone command.

  3. Upgrade the Intel driver to the latest version. Intel driver version 9.0.3.9 is recommended.

  4. Upgrade the AP1200 to latest  image version

For downloading the latest image go to Downloads ----> Wireless Lan Access-->Aironet Access point---->Cisco Aironet 1200 series--->Cisco Aironet 1200 series Access point---->IOS--->Select a release.

Note: This applies when running the 7920 wireless IP phone in the network.
