WAP351 Factroy Reset not working

Hi,

I'm unable to do a factrory reset with a WAP351. I tried the steps from https://supportforums.cisco.com/document/12596016/reboot-and-reset-factory-default-settings-wap351 both with PoE and a power adapter as a power source, but it is still not working.

It does not make a difference if I press the reset button for 20 or 90 seconds, it still does not perform a reset. The power indicator keeps flashing green (or blue if I use PoE), but the link won't come up.

If I press the reset button for 60 seconds or more, all the port lights eventually turn green and the power indicator turns red. If I release the reset button, the WAP351 tries to start - at least I think so - but I still don't get a link.

Is there anything else I can do?

Thanks and regards,

Nikolai

Sorry for the noise, but this is a hardware issue.

The contact for LAN1/PD seems to be loose. If I bend the network cable in the right direction, the link eventually comes up.

Thanks again,

Nikolai
