Hello Community
I lost my password for a WAP551 AP.
Now i start the factory reset. But it fails.
After 10 sec. the Power-LED shows red and the accespoint reboot with the configuration.
If ther a nother way to reset the password or reset to the factory config.

Please hold the reset for 30-35 seconds. Normally 10 seconds will just cause it to reboot not reset to factory.

Hi Eric
Thank you for the post.
But it does not work. After 10 Second the Power-LED go to red and finish.
I hold the reset also for 1 minutes.
another idea

Hi Eric
The factory reset has yet to work.
I must clear the Cahce from the IE, and then the Logon worked.

When you cleared the cache were you able to log in with your normal password or was it reverted back to the default cisco - cisco?

That means the factory reset did work, just that the cache on the browser needed to be cleaned out
There is no way we can modify the settings in the browser.
