1131 AP cannot connect to VWLC 8.0.115.0

I have installed the VWLC 8.0.115.0 onto my home ESXi server and am trying to associate a 1131 AP

I have read quite a lot about the subject and have tried a variety of images on the AP from the very latest to currently

c1130-k9w8-mx.124-25e.JAM4

The AP and the controller are on the same subnet but no joy.

I have entered the capwap ap controller ip address but it will not associate.

I have read that I should connect the AP to a physical controller 7.3 and above and download the image and then it will connect to the VWLC.

I have also added the MAC address into the AP Policies section.

Is there anything on ESXi that needs to be enabled on the firewall side?

Hope someone can help.

UPDATE: Problem Resolved!!!!

My issue was very simple and was nothing to do with images on the AP.

I had not accepted the license agreement and 0 AP's were supported on the controller.

Go to Management / Software Activation / Licences / Clicked on the License and changed priorty to High.

Then 200 APs are now supported and my 1131 AP started downloading its image! and is now online

Thanks

Roger

Thanks Scott,

It was a few of your posts I was reading about getting the right image on the AP first or connecting it to a physical controller.

Its a sweet solution, perfect for labbing
