I have 10 1142 LAP's that were working at various locations. I have replaced them with other newer model AP's and wish to reuse them somewhere else. I have connected them to WISM controllers to reconfigure but the green status light on each AP no longer burns. The red, blue light works and the AP loads, but the green status light doesn't. I issued a reset to the AP from the controller but no help.
Any ideas what has happened to the light and how to get it back on?

Use the WLC CLI command: config ap led-state enable all

Leo... thanks for the reply but this command would not work on the AP. When I telnet into the AP and go to enable mode I tried your command : config ap led-state enable all
It gets an Invalid input error at the word config. There also is no config command on the ? screens. If I need to do something else please let me know. There is an led command under enable but it just flashes the led. thanks...

The command is NOT to be applied on the AP (as I've mentioned).
The command is to be applied on the WiSM.
