12.3(8)JA IOS problems when 1, and 2Mb rates are disabled

I have Symbol handhelds with B radios which up until 12.3(8)JA used to associate and authenticate fine.

We isolated the problem in 12.3(8)JA to the AP's having 1 and 2 Mbit rates disabled, once these were enabled all is fine again.

Anybody know what changed in 12.3(8)JA that caused this behaviour? I'd like to turn off these rates again.

I opened a bug with Cisco a couple of months ago with LWAPP enabled AP's that would have the radio drivers fail if the basic rates were disabled. This was suppose to be fixed in the next version of the WLC software.

THis same bug may be present in 12.3(8), however.. I haven't personally experienced it.

If you look at your debugs and see the AP radio drivers failing, it could likely be related. Bug CSCsd47454.
