1602I-A-K9 Setup

How do I connect and login to an AIR-CAP 1602I-A-K9 for initial setup?  This is the first 1602 that we've purchased.  I connected the AP to a PoE switch and located the device in my DHCP server.  I'm able to ping the device but unable to connect using a web browser, telnet or hyper terminal.

That's because the AP, based on the product code you've posted, is running controller-based IOS.

You need to convert the OS to autonomous IOS before you can do anything.

Use this process:   Using a TFTP Server to Return to a Previous Release

If you do not  have a valid Service Contract to download the autonomous IOS, ask the vendor if they can get it for you.

Thanks.  I will look at changing the OS to autonomous IOS.

If you were running in a controller-based IOS how did you obtain a DHCP lease?  I am having the same issue only I am unable to obtain an IP address.  When in follow the steps to tftp I find that the OS does not have a config t command.
