I read about 'adjacent channel interference'. Wanted to confirm with the experiened folks out there if there could really be a problem with 'adjacent channel' interference where the APs are on non overlapping channels but are placed too close together? If so, shouldnt RRM resolve?

RRM will help, but it really can't 'fix' a bad design. If you are too dense, the WLC may not be able to lower power enough to stop the interference.

with 5ghz, it should not be an issue.
with 2.4ghz, if ap power is least then it should not affect. when ap on max power, only side bands get affected due to overlap.

Are you able to 'see' this when looking at the channel from Cisco Spectrum Expert?
