Admin Status of an AP on WLC

Hi,

What happen if I disable the Admin Status of an AP on my WLC. Do I lose the access to this AP through the controller?

Does it free up a license on the license count?

Here is what is written on the documentation:​

•  Admin Status —Choose Enabled or Disabled to specify whether the access points are enabled or disabled on the controller.

Hi,

The AP will remain associated to the WLC. You will have access to it and it will need an AP license.

It's radios will be shut down.

Hey Francois,

Simply disconnect the Access Point!

That is the only way an AP licence will free up on any WLC.
