Hi,

i try to setup a Anchor Controller. But the Control and Datapath isn't get up, if the Anchor Controller and internal WLC are in different default mobility groups.

Modell: 5508 (both)
Version:
- Anchor: 7.3.101.0
- Internal: 7.4.100.0

Anchor Mobility default Group: guest
Anchor Mobility Members:
e0:2f:6d:7c:80:e0  192.168.222.20
e0:2f:6d:5d:18:a0  10.32.30.1  none  guest

Internal Mobility default group: MOB

Internal Mobility Members:
e0:2f:6d:5d:18:a0  10.32.30.1  none
e0:2f:6d:7c:80:e0  192.168.222.20  none  guest

If i setup the default mobility group from the Anchor to "MOB", and the Members also to "MOB" the Data and Controler Path will get on.

Any Idea, cause as I remember, it was possible? Any know issues?

Regards

Paul

Remove the mobility entry and re-enter it again. That should fix it.

deleted from both, end reentered, nothing changed...

can you attach the "show mobility summary" output for both WLC's on non working scenario.

what mac address are you adding mgmt or burned in, are they same or different.

are the guest interface on anchor is also existing/referenced in foreign?

get WLC>debug mobility

Hello Saravanan,

the mac address are copied from the mobility groups page. And again, if all WLC are in the same mobility group, the data&controlpath goes up ;-)

Yes the guest interface exists on the anchor, and the anchor itself is referenced as an anchor for this interface.

Ok ok blame on me...

find out -> error was in the front of pc :-)

You need to add the default mobility group from the remote wlc in which he is located in the local mobility neighbor list. and vice versa.

Such a shame ;-)

but thx a lot for your assistance.
