Hello,
i want to use an AP Cisco Aironet 1242 Access Point (AIR-LAP1242AG-E-K9) as a bridge.
But the device doesnt connect to my fritzbox.
I get the following errors:
%DOT11-4-CANT_ASSOC: Interface Dot11Radio0, cannot associate: Rcvd response from c852.61c8.***7 channel 11 9792
dot11_mgmt: bad cookie returned from driver for mac c852.61c8.***7(expected 0x00000000, got 0x0120000C) - force driver to delete client
Can somebody tell me what this errors mean and know how to solve them?
Thanks a lot!

Hi
It does not work. I never saw two vendors working as work group bridge. You can read on the doc attached.
"We have tested multiple third-party devices for compatibility but cannot ensure
that all non-Cisco devices work. Support for any interaction or configuration
details on the third-party device should be discussed with the device manufacturer."

Thanks a lot for the answer!
Ok, if it normaly doesnt work with a non-cisco-vendor, ill maybe have to look for an other solution.
Do the error messages also say that the "thirs-party-device" is the problem?
Thanks!

The error did not say that. But, WGB (Work group bridge) is a protocol and as any other protocol they try to negociate. They dont know who is in the other side. They send queries and expect to receive proper answers.
The problem with multi-vendor solution is that they do not implement the protocols exactly the same and the interoperability does not work. Maybe they do this on porpuse to only work with their product, I dont know.
Fact is, you may see a lot of discussions here on the forum and internet about it but the conclusion will be the same.
