I'm trying to add another AP1815i to my network, but I cant. I can ping the AP serving as WLC but I can't upload the firmware (AIR-AP1815-K9-ME-8-5-151-0.tar) to the AP. I've tried to convert the AP to ME, tried to upload the tar file ( > archive download etc etc ) but I fail. I tried to do it in rommon but I only ave access to the bootloader.

Like what @marce1000 mentioned, we kind of need more info to help you. Have you tried to look at a few blogs in regards to converting a capwap ap to mobility express? Might be a good idea to look at a few and give them a try. You can find a bunch out there.

I did try this one. But turns out that I had a service that was using the tftp port instead of my MobaXterm, after dealing with it I could update my WLC ( AP ) then it would eventually update the AP.

ah that is interesting. I also use MobaXterm for things like that. I thought it would show an error when you try to enable that service?
