Hi,
Here is the problem :
We got a BBSM HotSpot 1.0, already working successfullly with a few 1200AP using VxWorks. These APs were configured using 3 vlans : infrastructure, public, & private. The BBSM is connected in the public VLAN (to see clients), and was talking to the APs in the infrastructure VLAN via static NAT on an external routing device (connected between the infra & public vlan), and clients were in the public vlan (because BBSM wants clients & ap in the same IP range...).
Everything was good, clients were recognized and could surf on the net.
Today, we decided to convert one of our AP to IOS, because we will receive soon new 1231, with pre-loaded IOS.
First of all, we upgraded the BBSM with all the patches, SP1, and 3 others patches, as indicated on it's download page.
The problem is that, when we use VLANs on the IOS AP, clients can't get recognized by the BBSM, and receive RME19+7 error. Of course, we deleted the acces point & its ports on the bbsm, and created a new one of type "Aironet 1200 AP (IOS)". Ports are created succesfully (but no "uplink" port is created, as the opposite of VxWorks ones).
If we don't use VLANs on 1200 IOS APs, the BBSM can recognize clients... We tried many versions of IOS, from 12.2-11JA3 to 12.2-15XR1, without solving the problem...
Is there any incompatibility between BBSMHS10 & using VLANs on 12xx APs with IOS ?
Is there a patch or a solution ?
Thanks by advance,
Thomas.
PS : see AP1200 IOS config in conf.txt
