Can you convert SAP to controller-based?  Yes.  It is as easy as copying the "RCV" IOS to the AP and let the AP boot from it.  That easy.

Can you convert the AP from controller-based IOS to SAP?  Yes, it is as easy as following this:  Using a TFTP Server to Return to a Previous Release

Thanks Leolaohoo's kindly reply.

We've experience about converting AP1242 between autonomous and lightweight mode.

Before purchasing the new AP1602, we wanna make sure it can be converted between "Standalone AP" and  "Ctrlr-based"

Cisco always like to make a new terms, and do you've experience about converting these new model (1600/2600/3600) ?!

I have experience converting 1130, 1140, 1230, 1240, 1250, 1260, 3500, 3600 from CAPWAP to autonomous and back.

Does this pass your requirement?

Appreciate for your kindly help, thx !!!
