Hi,
We're having problems with our 1240 LAP when converting to Root AP as its AP mode. We're encountering the problem when we set its AP mode to "bridge" mode. Once we have set it to bridge mode and click "Apply", the WLC prompts that the LAP will reboot. After the LAP reboots, it doesn't join the controller again. The problem is how can we set the LAP to function as a RAP if by default it is set to MAP as said in the configuration guides? Hope someone has already experienced this.
Thanks in advance.

Check if the WLC supports the mesh functionality. The Cisco Unified Wireless Network Software Release 4.1.190.5 supports wireless mesh functionality for Cisco IOS? Software-based platforms. Refer URL http://cisco.com/en/US/prod/collateral/wireless/ps5678/ps6521/prod_bulletin0900aecd8063360c.html for more information.
