Hi all
We are having alot of trouble with apple devices using the cisco guest wireless, I have turned off https on the controllers and it still does it.
Why is this doing this? and also what is the fix, do I need to buy a cert from a large CA liek thawte etc ?
cheers
Carl

What code are you running on the WLC. I know that the initial code where you can disable WebAuth https was broke, but on the later code it works. Or did you disable https in general for the management also?
I have always used a 3rd party certificate and made that almost a requirement in my installs. You can find a cheap cert at GoDaddy or rapidSSL for example. You get a 5 year cert for like $200.00.

They all do have their own root CA. I use them all the time along with Verisign and Entrust.
Thanks,
Scott

I see that this is an older thread but, I am experiencing this same behavior now. We are running a 5520 WLC with 1702 series APs. We do use GoDaddy as well for certs. Where would we be applying this cert to? Thank you so much for any assistance.
