Cisco 1200 AP not associating with repeater.

Hi,

I have 2 cisco 1200 AP's. I've configured one as a access point and the other one as repeater. But the access point is not associating with repeater. I've tired configuring the repeater as a access point for test purposes and it works fine. I also have the same ssid and wep settings on both AP's. Any help would be great! Thanks.

Do a check on the following aspects.

1. Check if there is 50% or more overlap in the coverage area between the root access point and the repeater access point.

2. Check if the repeater access point is configured with the same SSID as the root.

3. Check if the repeater and the root share the same channel.

4. Check if the security settings on the root access point matches that on the repeater.
