Cisco 8821 phones will associate to AP's but will not get an IP address. Using the wireless lan profile in CUCM the phone pull the PSK and appears to associate to AP's, but after that nothing further. While attached to docking station and utilizing USB adapter the phone will register, but once off the cradle it fails.
8821 firmware: sip8821.11-0-3SR6-15
CUCM Version: 11.5.1.12900-21
WLC Version: WLC 5520 running v8.2.151 with AP3702i
Have tried manually putting in IP on phones as well in wireless mode but nothing. Assuming there is a WLC to 8821 issue but cannot pinpoint it. Any suggestions?

Hi,
How is your AP joined on the WLC? Local mode? flexconnect mode? If local mode, how supposed to offer DHCP service, either way to local mode.

Local mode.....can that affect the authentication of the Cisco 8821? Using PSK with AES.
Thanks!

Not the authentication. But on this case, the DHCP should come from WLC and not local.
