We have installed 1542i having internal omni directional antenna vertically on external  wall of warehouse. Kindly advise if the access point will provide full 360° coverage or do we need mount the access point horizontally on wall for better coverage.

An omni direction provides 360 degrees of coverage, you should identify this on the antenna data sheet.  The install guide or antenna reference will state how high up the ap should be mounted in order to still obtain coverage below.  A site survey will help you determine the best height to get the maximum coverage, but keep in mind that end devices are lower power and the antenna gain is lower that what the ap has, so there will be a variable you need to consider.  Also attenuation is a variable when you are outdoor.

Have you checked the installation guide for this AP model?

As you can see there, the AP should be installed in the wall, in vertical, as the radiation pattern @Scott Fella mentioned before needs to be interpreted on this way (or install it in the ceiling but using a L-shaped bracket to install it in vertical).

You are saying vertical is fine for radiation pattern and horizontal not necessary as for horizontal - end user would need a different  wall mount.

So below installation pic is ok?
