Cisco Prime Map Calibration

My question is this:

if the Map is not calibrated to the correct scale (in feet) does it effect the actuall performance of the access points?

or is this map just a depiction of what the AP sees either (RSSI or SNR etc)?

It will not affect the performance of AP. WLC is purely manage the AP  & decide power level, RRM, etc impact the AP performance.

Heat map shown in prime is based on the RSSI/SNR reported by AP. If you map calibration is wrong, that coverage area won't be accurate. That's it & no impact on the AP performance.
