Dear All,

I have been checking Cisco docs which would tell me the exact logging buffer size on Cisco WLCs for collecting logs. Can any one help me on this.

Regards,

Yogesh S Rajguru.

Logging buffer? I guess it would depend on the WLC. You can always issue a show logging and it would tell you how many it logs and how many it has dropped.

Why not send the info to a syslog server.

Thanks for the reply. I am having WLC 5508 and currently syslog option is not feasible in network due to certain constraints. I am just wondering if I could know default logging buffer size & how to increase the same like wise in Cisco routers, then it would be great help to me.

Thanks in advance.

It would depend on the wlc model but like I said you have to issue a show logging from the wlc CLI to see how many messages it will store. These messages are stored in nvram, so it's hard to say. I don't believe you can increase it.

You might be better off getting Prime Infrastructure and look at the logs from there.

Yes... Do you limit is what's being logged. That's your buffer size.
