CRC Errors and Connection Drops on an IP/IPX network

We recently installed 5 AP1200 w/Version 12.2(8)JA IOS code in a warehouse environment.

Since installation we have had to remove the clients from the network due to connections dropping out, and general poor performance.

This network has IP and IPX running on it. We see significant CRC errors in the range of 90-98%. We do not see noise, the SNR is really good.

We have even forced the 350 clients to only look for another AP after 60seconds and 20% singal strength, but we find the clients will disassociate and reassociate to the same AP, which is in line of site and within the tolerances for range from the AP.

Has anybody successfully implemented an IPX wireless network using the Cisco AP1200? If so, what are the obstacles to this type of network?

Does anyone know what is an acceptable CRC value on a wireless net?

Any help would be appreciated.

If the wireless connection is fine, you need not worry about the CRC errors because these are very common in case of wireless network. CRC Error is an indication that the client radio hears an access point with an ssid that does not match the ssid it is currently configured for. If the client radio is in a room with a couple of access points, each one set to a different ssid, ssid mismatches would be a normal occurence. CRC are just like collision messages on ethernet, as the radios are only half duplex. The more 802.11 radios and clients there are in a cell area, the higher the CRC errors. Fewer CRC errors occur when there are fewer radios in the radio frequency cell.
