Dear All,

I have extened my coporate office wireless network to my branch locations using H-REAP. While connecting  to this wireless netwrok from the branch locations I am getting the IP address from corporate office DHCP server. Is it possible to get IP addresses from the local DHCP servers at the branches ?

WLC - 5508

AP - 1242

Regards,

Shijo.

You need to look at this guide. You need to assign the WLAN the vlan mapping and make sure the AP is connected to a trunk port. Also on the WLAN, you need to enable local switching.

If it is already configured for H-REAP local switching with correct vlan mapping, you have to make sure you configure correct "ip helper-address x.x.x.x" to pointing to branch DHCP server under SVI defined for wirless users at branch.

If DHCP server is the same switch where you defined the SVI then it is not mandatory.
