I understand that the access point has a mini-dhcp server for ease of configuration. My problem is, I need to use a static address on the AP, but still need wireless clients to get leases from my wired network. Does anyone know how I can do this?

When the AP cannot get an ip address leased from an external DHCP server, the AP defaults to the address 10.0.0.1 and becomes a mini DHCP server. It leases by default 10.0.0.11 and 10.0.0.30 (20 addresses). But as soon as you assign a static address manually to the AP, this feature gets disabled.
