Hello my name is Ivan
I have a question:
Is possible connect and configuring two cisco wlc in high availability to 3 switches in stack 3750 in difference ports?
For example
WLC A (Primary) - SWITCH MASTER
WLC B (Secondary) - SWITCH SLAVE
How can i connect the wlc's in HA to get a redundancy in the stack?
Regards
Ivan

That's not how I'd do it.
If you have a stacked switch like a 3750 or 2960S then I'd connect HALF of the ports of the WLC to one switch stack member and the other half to the next switch stack member. The switche ports will be configured as a Gigabit Ether Channel.
The WLC-side will also be configured as LAG.

Hi leolaohoo:
Please i don't understand very well your answer. Could explain me a bit better?
Stack groups are 3 and i have two cisco wlc. I'd like to know which is the best deployment to connect two wlc in HA to 3 switches 3750 in stack using LAG in the WLC's and Etherchannel in the switches
Thanks

Ok. Presume that I have two WLC 4402 (two SFP ports) and a stack of three 3750G-24, ok?
So for each WLC, I'll configure LAG on each of the SFP ports. Next, connect WLC1, SFP port 1 to switch 1 port Gi 1/0/1. WLC1 SFP port 2 to switch 2, port Gi 2/0/1.
Next for WLC2, SFP port 1 to switch 1 port Gi 3/0/1. WLC1 SFP port 2 to switch 2, port Gi 2/0/2.
On the 3750G master, I'll configure Gi 1/0/1 and Gi 2/0/1 as part of a Gigabit Etherchannel group, say 11. I will also configure Gi 2/0/2 and Gi 3/0/1 as part of an Gigabit Etherchannel group, say 12.
With this scenario, if switch stack member 1 or 2 dies, WLC 1 is still operating. If switch stack member 2 or 3 dies, WLC 2 is still operating.
Does this make sense?

Hi lleolaohoo:
Acoording your advice, there is a switch of the stack doesn't have any connection to the cisco wlc in ha. I'm attach a network, could you explain me please?

Hi Ivan,
1: you shoud have redundancy in stack switches ok
2: connect wlc1 port 1 with switch 1 in port gi 1/0/1 using SFP fiber optice 1G link ok
3:connect wlc1 port 2 with switch 2 in port gi 1/0/2 using -----------------------------------------
4: connect wlc2 port 1 with switch 2 in port gi 2/0/1 using SFP--------------------------------
5: connect wlc2 port 2 with switch 2 in port 2/0/2 using ------------------------------------------
6: go to master switch and configer switch 1 's port gi 1/0/1 & 1/0/2 as a etherchannel and say portchannel 5
7:from master switch configure one another portchannel for switch 2 port gi 2/0/1 & 2/0/2 and say portchannel 6
8: on both controllers configre LAG for 1 & 2 distributions ports make only LAG.
in this methode if the switch1 will get down wlc 2 will still alive blonging to switch 2
OR if switch 2 will get down than WLC 1 will take care of access points connectivity that is connect to switch 2
tell me if this answerd your question?

Hi Ivan,
Your diagram is almost complete. Why do you have more than the default (one) AP manager? If you configure LAG (Link AGgreation) you do away with just one AP Manager interface per WLC.

hi leolaohoo for your answer:
According your advice and your answers, is possible to connect 1 (one) WLC using LAG to 3 switches in stack
For example:
WLC - Interface 1 - SW 1 Interface 1
WLC - Interface 2 - SW 2 Interface 2
WLC - Interface 3 - SW 3 Interface 3
SW1, SW2, SW3 members of stack and SW3 stack master.
WLC Interface 1,2,3 are members of LAG.
I'm going to try to do it
Is possible to do it?
Thanks four your answers
Regards
Ivan

WLC - Interface 1 - SW 1 Interface 1
WLC - Interface 2 - SW 2 Interface 2
WLC - Interface 3 - SW 3 Interface 3
SW1, SW2, SW3 members of stack and SW3 stack master.
WLC Interface 1,2,3 are members of LAG.
Hi Ivan,
This will work fine as long as you also configure Gigabit Etherchannel on the 3750 stack side too.
