I have a Cisco AIR-A1832i-B-K9.

I was intended to reset the AP to factory default, however accidently it resulted in  clearing the AP’s internal storage, including all configuration file. I think it also removed any regulatory domain provisioning made previously.

I exported the APs and WLAN configurations from the router web page, before doing the reset.

I tried to connect to the router using Putty and input the details like   credentials, IP etc. And it is saved. After reboot it show the below error continuously .

Config not synced to APs since no AP is present

Can you help me to load the exported APs configuration a fully reset device?

I am using PuTTY and it showed the below error

capwap ap erase all

Incorrect usage. Use the '?' or <TAB> key to list commands.

Is this really a PuTTY command?

cisco/cisco

I am trying to learn knowledge on this.

I am using PuTTY

To use the capwap ap commands what tool I have to use. Can you share the link?

ignore the above question. I got it

switch to apciscoshell and run the command.

capwap ap erase all

After running the command now I am getting the below message consecutively.

Config not synced to APs since no AP is present
[*11/30/2020 17:32:51.7245] Waiting for uplink IPv4/IPv6 configuration
[*11/30/2020 17:32:52.7241] Resetting wired0, ifconfig down up

I have a exported setting file I exported from router log in page. But no I am not able to connect with the router login ip.

I tried couple of possible default router IP address but none of the succeed. Can you please help me!

When you reset an access point, you either get a prompt that allows you to configure the ap using a startup wizard or else the ap is a capwap ap an requires a controller to manage the ap. Take a look at the prompt, what you posted is not enough information.

Please find the logs dumped.

Let me give a background of the issue: I did a hard reset and I think I lost the ap. Before reset I exported the settings from the router log in page. What I am looking for is bring up the default ap and then import the settings that I already have.

So what you see at the end of your log is the prompt that your ap is a Mobility Express controller. You need to follow the deployment guide to configure the ap with basics so you can get to the GUI and upload your old config.

The link you provided is the steps for configuration wizard for the latter part "get to the GUI and upload your old config".

How can I do the first part   "configure the ap with basics". Can you please guide me!

You need to follow the guide, it will explain what you need to do and what you need to verify. You need to also determine if the provisioning ssid is available, if not, then you need to configure via the cli. There are many guides and blogs out there for Mobility Express also.
