Has anyone used the HWIC-AP cards with yagi antennas for point to point links?
We are going to be adding a new building in the near future, no permanent employees just some equipment that needs to be accessed and monitored so high speed (i.e. 100mb plus) is not necessary. Only one IP phone in the new building. The building will be on our existing property.
Our main building has a 3825 router in place. We have a 2811 we keep around for spare/lab. I originally planned to have fiber trenched to the new building, with HWIC-1GE-SFP w/ fiber SFP's in each router. I think we could save some coin by going with wireless, if the cards support point-to-point, all documentation points to access point functionality though.
Will this work, or does the HWIC-AP-AG-B card support access point functionality only?
