Issues enabling 5GHz signal in Access Point AIR-AP1852I-B-K9

Dear all,

Hopefully you are doing great. This time I'm contacting you since I have an issue with three AP cisco model AIR-AP1852I-B-K9 due that recently were installed and joined to the WLC (Cisco Catalyst 9800-L Wireless Controller 17.3.3) and everything seems to be normal, but those three cannot be enabled for 5GHz:

In the controller:

is there a way to enable the GHz signal or I'm missing somethig?

Please check the country code that you configured it looks like a compatibility issue.

Try enabling 5GH from command level :

# show wireless country supported
#no ap dot11 5ghz shutdown

Make
e sure the NTP and  AP region correct.

Question: these commands must be typed in the AP CLI or in WLC CLI?

Since I tried in AP CLI and were not recognized.

if the AP device is managed by WLC, then you need to use on the controller.

Dear Daniel

You were right. The issue was about compatibility since the model that we got should be added as US country and also in the advanced options for every ap added in the controller. After done that steps the signal 5Ghz was up.
